April 7, 1819. James Wyman, Jr., son of James and Nancy George Wyman, was drowned in Piscataquog River, aged 21.
May 81, 1833. Jonathan Taggart, son of John and Elizabeth Jameson Taggart, was drowned in Merrimack River, aged 28.
September 24, 1889. Jeremiah Johnson died from the effects of a wound on the head with a club, inflicted by Elbridge Ford at the muster in Goffstown.
April 16, 1847. John Orr died suddenly while sitting in his chair. 1850.
Old Mr. Banfil perished in woods in early winter; was found next spring; date unknown.
1851 or 1852. Mr. Fuller, engineer on the New Hampshire Central Railroad, met with an accident at Parker's Station; was looking out of the window of his engine when his head came in contact with a pile of wood beside the track; he died a week later.
January 22, 1852. Richard B. Hadley accidentally killed by a limb of a tree falling upon him, while chopping in the woods west of the schoolhouse in the Parker district.
August 17, 1853. William Orr fatally injured by being thrown upon a pointed hayrack stick, which penetrated his body. Sec genealogy.
September 26, 1855. Robert Aiken was found dead at the well house where he had gone for a pail of water.
October 1856. An unidentified body of a man was found in the extreme west part of Goffstown near Weare line on land of Plummer Hadley, having been dead some time.
August 1, 1858. Dennis Mahoney, son of John and Mary Collins Mahoney, was drowned in Blaisdell's mill pond.
August 1, 1858. Daniel McCarty was drowned in Blaisdell's mill pond with Dennis Mahoney.
January 1, 1859. Moors Robie was accidentally killed while sawing shingles at Blaisdell's mill, being struck by a shingle bolt thrown by the saw.
August 1, 1865. Orville Butler, son of Daniel T. and Caroline Tenney Butler, was drowned in Blaisdell's mill pond, aged 8 years.
August 1, 1865. Flanders boy was drowned at Blaisdell's mill pond at the same time as Orville Butler.
January 1, 1866. Harrison A. Moses was killed at Little's Crossing; section hand on railroad, struck by the engine.
1805 or 1866. John Foster died suddenly at the town house at Goffstown Center on town meeting day.
October 4, 1869. Jonathan Gove Leach was carried away upon the bridge across Piscataquog River at the village, when the bridge went out in the great freshet
July 15, 1873. Peter Harriman was drowned in Piscataquog River below the Grasmere bridge, aged 12 years, 3 months.

July 9, 1875. Charles Hazeltine died in the barn of Lewis Sargent while stowing away a load of hay.
June 18, 1876. Joanna Regan, wife of John Regan and daughter of John and Mary Mahoney, was struck and killed by the train on the Manchester and North Weare Rail Road near Manchester and Goffstown line.
August 18, 1877. Jacob A. Flanders suddenly deceased.
July 5, 1879. Mrs. Nancy Bachelder was burned beyond recognition in her house which was consumed by fire; located upon the site of the present residence of Lewis H. Hoyt; body recovered next day.
William W. McIntire was found dead in road near the Black Brook Mill in Goffstown; date unknown.
April 11, 1881. B. Frank Aiken was burned to death when his house was consumed; perished in flames.
July 17, 1882. John G. Dodge, Sr., was found dead in the dooryard, a short time after he had partaken of his morning meal.
December 2, 1882. Sewall Stratton, a former resident of Goffstown, was found dead in his house on the Wallace Road in Bedford just south of the town line.
November 16, 1885. Francis F. Flint found dead in bed.
March 15, 1887. William D. Ferson found dead in bed; lived alone in what was known as the Ephraim Roberts house, near the base station of the Incline Railway.
June 28, 1888. David M. Taggart died very suddenly.

December 2, 1893. Horace Kidder found dead in the shed where he had gone but a few minutes before.

July 23, 1897. Newhall K. Morgan, son of E. P. and Mary Kingsbury Morgan, drowned in Piscataquog River west of bridge at village.
January 2, 1898. J. Frank Fletcher died as the result of an accident; caught in the elevator at Kendall, Hadley and Co.'s shop.
May 21, 1898. Michael Hart was drowned in Piscataquog River at pulp mill, Grasmere.
December 11, 1899. Elnathan Whitney was found dead in the wood lot, where he had gone in the morning for the purpose of cutting firewood.
January 29, 1900. Abram Richards found dead in bed; lived upon what was known as the Dana place on Wallace Road near Bedford line.
July 28, 1901. Clinton H. Tirrell died from the effects of an injury sustained by being caught by a hayfork.
May 9, 1901. Alvah Sanford died from the effects of an accident by falling from load of wood and the load passing over him.
July 23, 1902. Frank Johnson was cut with a mowing machine; tetanus followed, resulting in death.
October 21, 1902. Charles E. Smith was found dead on his premises a short time after leaving the house.
March 14, 1903. Ruth E. Whitman, daughter of Frank and Mary Warren Whitman, died from the effects of being severely burned by a brush fire; resided west of Parker's Village.
October 6, 1903. Weston C. Davis died suddenly of apoplexy.
February 9, 1904. Samuel A. Fillibrown found dead in bed; lived alone.
April 5, 1904. Harland P. Stiles died from the effects of a kick by a horse, resulting in tetanus.
January 19, 1905. Leslie McDonald, railroad brakeman, accidently killed by falling under the train near Kendall, Hadley and Co.'s shop.
July 23, 1905. William H. Poore died suddenly.
August 4,1906. Charles Spencer found dead in the barn, where he had gone to do the milking.
September 22, 1906. Aaron Searrvarian was found dead in his camp at the reservoir; laborer, native of Finland, aged 45 years.
December 4, 1906. Daniel Little died instantaneously.
June 11, 1906. Walter G. Plumer accidentally killed by ice falling upon him in L. T. Barnard's ice-house.
June 20, 1907. A freight car jumped the track of the Union Incline Railway at Shirley Station at 9 o'clock in the evening, smashing the stone watering-trough and stopping in the front yard of Ralph Marden, fatally injuring three, seriously injuring three others, and one man escaped. The injured were all section hands returning with a freight car from the base of the Uncanoonuc Mountain, and evidently lost control of the car some distance before they reached the place of the accident.
July 13, 1907. Nelson Richards burned to death in his residence, southwesterly of the village on Bog Road.
July 4, 1908. Harry P. Hart died as the result of an accident from a premature explosion of powder while celebrating.
November 25, 1908. Arthur Bradford Pike killed by accidental discharge of his gun while hunting.
December 20, 1909. Mrs. Mary A. Hammond was found dead in her home at Grasmere; resided alone.
May 5, 1910. Garry Morgan died suddenly.
August 15, 1910. Willard M. Whipple died very suddenly.
November 27, 1910. Joseph T. Carter deceased instantaneously; in usual health preceding.
February 23, 1911. Fred H. McClintock was found dead in front of his house on Church Street, Goffstown Village, having left the house but a few minutes before.
August 26, 1911. Edwin Cheney accidently killed in West Manchester, run over by a pair of runaway horses; resided on the Jones place near mountain.
August 13, 1912. Daniel W. Hoit died from injuries received from falling from a load of hay.
September 18, 1912. Mrs. Sarah A. Adams accidently killed at Sawyer's Crossing; hit by New Boston train.
December 14, 1912. William C. Tucker accidently killed by falling from electric car near County Farm.
April 9, 1914. Quincy Carlton Shirley, son of Robert L. and Bertha (Shields) Shirley, was accidently killed by wood falling upon him.
November 21, 1914. Joseph Whittemore returned to his house after shoveling snow, and immediately expired.
December 4, 1914. Warren Cleveland accidently drowned in Harry Brook near Dr. Little place, so called.
January 11, 1916. Mary Ann Palmer, wife of Levi Palmer, was fatally burned while her husband lay a corpse.
July 8, 1916. Joseph Comfort complained of illness and immediately expired.
August 6, 1916. Cornelia Lull found dead in bed; resided alone at the old Governor Morril house on the Mast Road.
November 30, 1916. Carlos D. Miller died very suddenly from epileptic convulsions, early on Thanksgiving morning.
December 2, 1916. Mrs. Mary S. Rowell found dead in bed at Grasmere.
August 1, 1917. Gustav F. Rydin was instantly killed near the city line on the Mast Road by the overturning of an autmobile in which he was riding.
August 21, 1917. John W. Hart was accidently killed by falling to the cellar in a house which he was building upon the Mast Road, near the residence of George H. Bartlett.
November 12, 1917. John Falkner accidently killed; run over by train at crossing north of County Farm.
July 3, 1919. Alden A. Neal drowned in Piscataquog River, east of railroad bridge.
July 19, 1919. Mrs. Mary J. Hazen found unconscious in garden where she had gone a short time before; soon expired.
January 9, 1920. George H. Bartlett found dead in bed.
January 9, 1920. Warren H. Whipple complained of feeling ill and expired before medical aid could arrive.
July 13, 1920. James R. Bucklin expired suddenly while attending to his labors at the house of H. K. Libbey.
August 28, 1920. George H. Porter died instantaneously of heart trouble, while descending from the roof of the residence of Girard Pellens.
SUICIDES
October 31, 1834. Josiah F. Butterfield, son of Jonathan and Jane Forsaith Butterfield, committed suicide by hanging.
December 28, 1838. John Greer hung himself.
September 15, 1840. Moses K. Little hung himself.
October 17, 1865. Emily S. Parker, on account of despondency, committed suicide by drowning in the river south of the house.
August 18, 1871. William Stark committed suicide by hanging in the shed of Enoch Baker on the Mast Road where M. V. B. Wyman now lives.
January 14, 1872. Martha Worthley Stevens committed suicide by hanging; temporary insanity.
February 6, 1872. Cynthia B. Kimball died from the effects of a suicidal wound.
1876. Daniel Barnard committed suicide by cutting his throat with a razor, in the barn at the present residence of Marshall Martin.
August 29, 1876. Sylvanus Kidder committed suicide by cutting his throat.
March 1, 1885. Mary Flynn, a domestic employed in the family of John M. Parker, committed suicide by taking poison.
June 17, 1895. Joseph Tirrell shot himself.
October 23, 1899. Eliza Flora Poore committed suicide by drowning in the Piscataquog River between the bridges.
February 28, 1900. Robinson Brown shot himself.
January 6, 1907. Ira L. Bell committed suicide by shooting himself.
January 13, 1909. William H. Stinson committed suicide by shooting.
December 5, 1913. Luther B. Greer committed suicide by hanging.
