I am looking for information on the THOMPSON family. I have pictures of Orrin W Thompson with Manchester, New Hampshire on them and I know that at one time the family lived in the area as well. His wife's name was Phoebe, I do not know her maiden name. I really don't know much about Orrin and Phoebe. The last picture that I have of Orrin is in 1922 with his siblings in California. But him and Phoebe disappear after that. So I thought maybe they came back to Manchester. Orrin's parents were Vinal T. Thompson and Rosetta Walker. He had siblings: William V, Moreland, Herbert L. and Mary Ione Thompson. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am searching for John Carroll and his wife Mary and 2 daughters. I have seen a listing in the 1893 Manchester city directory for John Carroll on Brook St. I live near Albany, NY and would like to locate him on the census for 1900, etc. I'm trying to find out what enumeration district Brook St. would be in the 1900 census or the 1880 census. I do not have access to the index for the 1880 or 1900 census for New Hampshire here in New York State. John Carroll originally lived in Burke, NY which is in Franklin County. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone have a copy of Clarke's History of Manchester by John B. Clarke published in 1875????
Please help! I have been searching for 7 years on a lead to this family of Newells. I have a George H. Newell born about 1819 in NH, married about 1850 in NY to Margaret L. McIntyre, they had a son, George P. Newell in 1854 in NY, and then a daughter Ella R. in 1856 in NH. They were in the Manchester census for 1860 and the city directory, but in 1870 they were in Michigan without daughter Ella and no mention of what happened to her anywhere I can find. I have about 1 dozen photos of Newell family in NH in the mid 1850-1860s, only names of studios on the back that give Manchester and Petersboro, two are of a midget, one as a boy and again at his wedding.

My husband's ancestor, August Karlsson LINDEN, b. 7 Apr. 1863 in Sdra Sm parish, lvsborgs ln, Sweden, emigrated to the USA in 1886, destination Manchester, NH. Since then I have not been able to find any information on this person. Of course he is not listed in the SSDI since it was too early. Does NH have an index of marriages online like Illinois has. If you will post my info I would appreciate it. Thank you.
