Know A ll Men by these present that I John Ames of Newmarket in the County of Rockingham and state of New Hampshire Yeoman for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds lawful given money to me in hand before the delivery hereof well and truly paid by Jonathan Ham of Rochester in the County of Strafford and State of aforesaid Gentleman the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained sold by these presents do give grant sell alien enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said Jonathan Ham his heirs and afsigns forever one Hundred twenty acres in the town of Rochester in the county of Strafford aforesaid being part of lot number eighty two in the second division in said Rochester. Laid out to the original Right of Satchel Denbo and others the Said Lot running the whole length On Robert and James Varney's land and extending in width till it contains the aforesaid One hundred and twenty acres being part of the lot I purchafed of Nat Ames ~~~ To have and to Hold the Said Granted premifes with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same appertaining to him the Said Jonathan Ham his Heirs and afsigns to his and their only proper ufe and benefit forever and I the Said John Ames for myself my heirs Executors and administrators do hereby Covenant grant and agree to and with the Said Jonathan Ham his Heirs and Afsigns that until the Delivery hereof I am the Lawful owner of the Said premifes and am seized and profsefsed thereof in my own Right in Fee simple and have full power and Lawful Authority to Grant and convey the Same in manner aforesaid that the Premifes are free and clear of all and every Incumbrance Whatsoever and that I my heirs Executors and Administrators shall and will warrant the same to him the Said Jonathan Ham his heirs and afsigns against the Lawful claims and demands of my person or persons whomsoever In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto let my hand and seal this Twenth Day of October A.D. one thousand Seven hundred Eighty Two ~~~~
